It is encouraged to call your insurance company check your plan’s specific coverage/benefits for lactation services. Code to inquire about is S9443 in-network with diagnosis Z39.1 (care of lactating "mother").

Verify coverage with Lactation Consultants of America (LCA) (accepting MOST Health Net, Tricare West, UMR, Regence, Moda, Pacific Source Health Plans and SOME Anthem and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans).

With these insurances, parents need to call their insurance to verify their benefits for lactation services.

*Please note, office and virtual consults if coverage is verified are 100% covered, but there is an out-of-pocket minimum $100 travel fee with insurance coverage for home visits.

If your insurance plan is not covered via these options, it does not mean your insurance will not cover all or part of lactation services -

A superbill can be provided to you at the end of our session for you to submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement.


There is a $50 cancellation fee for all appointments cancelled within 24 hours of appointment time. 


While your insurance coverage is still pending, you’re welcome to reserve your preferred appointment time as a self-pay booking.

No payment is collected until the actual visit.

Once your insurance is verified, we’ll simply update the appointment so the appropriate insurance coverage applies.
