It is the patient's responsibility to verify their own lactation benefits. LCA can only see that you have benefits, they cannot see if Iyou have any special circumstances that might prevent your insurance provider from covering services.

Patient should refer to their plan benefits and call their insurance directly to verify lactation coverage - check with code s9443 in network with diagnosis Z39.1 (care of lactating "mother"). Per LCA’s policy, you will be charged for denied lactation class codes (S9443) for the lactating parent at the in-network negotiated rate for S9443.
